Derek Kraus (Scorpions) was cruising through the game and had a no-hitter through 2.2 innings. The no-hitter was broken up by Ryan Hewitt with a bloop single to centerfield.

The scoreless tie was no more when the Scorpions plated five runs in the top of the fourth. With bases loaded, Roger Chaddick walked which scored the games first run. Later in the inning, Brad Mangham singled in two runs and then Kerry Weigner doubled in a pair. The game was put out of reach when the Scorpions scored seven runs in the fifth inning and stretched their lead to 12-0.

After The Young & The Restless broke the shutout with a run in the bottom of the fifth, Mangham came in to relieve Kraus and closed out the game. Rick Mathews and Brian Fuentes led the Scorpions to a 15-1 victory.
